Newcastle Toon Castore Shirt

This is one of the best Toon shirts in my opinion, very like the classic Umbro shirt in the 80s.  I thought Castore did a great job and put out some decent designs for the Toon. 

I wanted to see what quality issue the shirt may have if any as everyone has heard of Castore making shirts that fall apart or don't evaporate sweat accordingly. 

This is the standard fan version with a sponsorless design which I prefer so no plasticy transfer gets washed away after wearing and the crest and brand logo is also embroidered so can last the washes. 

Full marks for the collar and the cuffs, it feels like a classic. 

Overall, I like this shirt. I would say the material is very ordinary and not something I particularly want to write about, doesn't feel the best but it is OK. I just really like the classic design and at least I can own a Castore shirt in my collection.  The shirt is also quite big in size or at least this fan version is with quite wide width and shoulder, sleeve cut in comparison to some other shirts that I have.

Newcastle United Puma Third Shirt 2020

Now this is some Newcastle United third shirt, look at the design.  It could be a goal keeper shirt but its of a dark purple shade.

The shirt has a V shape collar.  I would have preferred it was just a crew neck.

The crest is actually fluorescent green but it looks white when you photo it.  In some ways, its better if it was white and black, perfect colour for the toon.

The pattern is just wow, nice triangles and the shade.

From the back it is actually black.

Newcastle United Score Draw Retro Away shirt

Score Draw are a British brand that specialises in retro shirts.  I use to love this Newcastle away shirt back in 83-84 I think.  It has a lasting impression on me.  The original shirt was by umbro, they can't put their logo on it.

The classic Newcastle Brown Ale blue star sponsor back then and the previous crest nufc magpies.

The sleeve is very good fit.  Shirt is wider than expected around 20.5 inch pit to pit.  But it's easy to alter with its straight seams.

Such a class design.  There has never been a better Newcastle away shirt.  The material is OK.  It is not like the original,  It's heavier imo.
