Korea Nike 2018 shirt

This is the most boring lazy Nike job I could imagine.  Absolutely no input or effort into making anything special for a Korea shirt.  Korea fans deserve so much more than this.  They could have used just a bit more imagination.

I thought I would get one just to add to the collection and seeing it available in a shop as world cup is around, I thought I will take the opportunity to get hold of one.  But I wished it could have looked better.

The crest is about the only thing cool about this shirt.

There are no other features of any note from the front.

The sleeves are vapour template norm.

Just about the only other feature is at the back of the collar showing a Korean symbol.

Otherwise no features.  If you want minimalism then it could appeal, it is a nice colour.  The material is somewhat softer and stretchier than the other world cup Nike shirts I have seen like Brazil, Portugal etc.  It is also sized smaller than the other shirts which is great if you are skinny and want a snuggier fit.  Why it was sized smaller?  Is it Asian sizing?  I went to Korea recently and the people there are not much smaller than western people on average.

I was going to buy this while in Korea but I found it was priced incredibly high in the shops.  This fan version costs 135000 KRW that is around 125 USD which is around the price for a player's version.  Are you mad?  And Nike make a rubbish designed shirt to rip off the passionate Korean fans.  I hope they can do a better design next time or Korea move to a different brand who can come up with a more imaginative design.  May be Korea can switch to home brand FILA who can do a super design worthy for the Taeguk Tiger Warriors.

Mexico Adidas 2018 shirt

A shirt that I quite like from the current crop of adidas designs.  Not my favourite shade of green for El Tri but I wanted to try the new cutting.

Interesting v neck / Jonny collar.  If only they could have added a touch of red trim eg white collar red trim or red collar white trim.

Cool crest.

Here is the interesting part, with the stripes only at the shoulder, they have cut the sleeves shorter and given it a more bicep friendly fit.  Since there is more space now for them to place their patches on the side.  Had they put some red trim at the cuffs, that would have made it classical.

The side lines and chevrons makes the shirt less boring.

Nice material too, I prefer the material to what's used in the current Colombia shirt. The shirt has a nice cutting, the shorter sleeves and cuffs give it a more slim fit look.  Good simple design.  For me, it would have been a classic if they could have addes more of a red trim to the shirt.

Colombia Adidas 2018 shirt

Very 1990 homage kit.  I really like it.

Nice variation to the collar.  And great colours as usual, love the combination.

Fantastic

The sleeves is a bit shorter and these chevrons just give you that Valderrama feel.  Having the availability of XS size gives us a chance of a great snug fit although the original 90s version was worn loose.

The material has changed again with the climate cool template.  And having also seen the Mexico and Japan shirts, there are variations in the range.  Overall a shirt that I will wear a lot in the summer.

Fake China N98 Nike track top

Here is a sample of a fake N98 track top that can be picked up for 1/6 the price from an official one and some of the attributes you get with a fake.

From a distance its fine and looks good.

Badge is well created.

Quite good swoosh.

Pockets are OK.  But you will notice the zip has a lesser quality about it and the zip lining is noticeably less feel about it.

The sleeves are good replicated

An obvious defect is the main zipper.  It the wrong way round.  Its got no logo and its nowhere as smooth as the real ones.  Not YKK or SBS, CMZ quality to say the least.

The collar is also less shaped.  The Nike label is not sown 100% symmetrically.

The top end of the zip is of poor quality and its edges are a bit sharp and not smoothened out, so you need to chisel them down a bit to stop it from irritating your chin.

From the back it looks fine.

Wobbly logo.

Pockets from the inside are sewm with a line seam.  This is obviously a fake quality.

Inner labels are actually quite decent.

As mentioned previously, the sleeves are quite well made.  The material is OK but its noticeably worst than the real one.  Its a bit thinner and not as airy.  The cut of the top at the waist is also probably more oversized than the real one.  It definitely may had cut its elasticity at the waist, making it a lesser tuck to the waist and giving it a worst fit when compared to the real N98s.

Overall for a fraction of the price, its decent and looks OK from a distance.  Just don't expect it to be perfect.

Paraguay 2010 world cup away shirt

A blast from the past, picked up in an outlet sale for a bargain price.

2010 design, quite retro look almost these days.

The mess material mixed.

The extra long and wide sleeve back in 10.

Wide loose cut.

Nice touch with the motto.

Some diagonal trims across front and back.  A very decent shirt from the 10 era.

UAE Adidas home shirt

Another lucky dip and another interesting find from a local store.  Now how did they get this in stock and on sale at such a great price.

Shirt is pretty standard adidas Morona template using a crew neck collar.

Nice badge.  As always the highlight of getting hold of these exotic shirts.

As otherwise because its with one of the major brands, it rather bland.

The helm is a bit narrower than the ones found on the Paraguay, Colombia 15 shirts.

From the back it looks pretty straight forward.  Overall, the material is good as its adidas standard.  Otherwise it is very boring standard template and then wack the badge on affair.  Seems like the usual treatment for the non mega teams.  Emiratis deserve better and I think they would get a much more well designed shirt if it was made by local brand Romai who I think seemed to make cool shirts.  Or look at what FBT, Grand Sports or Mafro can do, it puts these bland design to shame and the downside of having a big brand for a non mega team.
