Mali Airness again

Airness again and another non fake Mali shirt.  By now you can tell Mali just has a nice theme with their colours and the flying eagle.

The Airness embroidered logo.  Notice the swiggle in the front of the cat?  I think that is a trademark.  But I see even the fake ones have it. ;-)

Now this what I wanted for my new shirt that I am hoping to wear, it has an embroidered crest so it should survive more washes and not fall off as quickly.  I now own enough shirts to conclude anything non embroidered all end up just falling off or peel off after a period of regular wash and wear.  The down side to this one is that the embroidered crest is just stitched on around the parameter and not fully embroidered onto the material, so there is a chance the threads can break over time and it will fall off, but if it happens, it should be able to be stitched back on by a tailor.

Nice cuff design, and this shirt is relatively slim fit too although it looks big, it is not huge around the shoulder, this was an M and I can still almost wear it in good shape when I am usually a S.

The back is just nice too, simple with no surprises. 

Overall, I am happy to get hold of this and start wearing it, the last one was good, so good that I wore it too often and the crest began to fall of, resorting to super glue to get it back on after a wash.  Now that one can be consign to the cupboard for collection and I can start wearing this.  The material used by Airness on these shirts is top and very nice to wear thin material.  Love it.

 

Mali Airness Away shirt

Finally, I am able to get hold of a genuine Airness brand shirt and I am not disappointed.  Airness is a French sports brand and has been the exclusive sponsor of Mali national team's shirt for many years.  This Mali away shirt is very nice and I will tell you why.

Here is the labels and it is a very nice tag with all the letters in French written on it. 

Pretty much an iconic Malian symbol.

The crest is cool.  Only downside is it is not embroided and it is super glued onto the material, a bit like some of the Puma offerings in past and I know these can peel off after a lot of washes, but lets see how it lasts.

The Airness is embroidered, now that is a nice cat.

The fit of the shirt is skinny so very snug sleeves which makes it look good when wearing.

Nice motto.

Nice from the back also.  Overall, very happy with this shirt, well worth the wait.  The material is quite nice too, it feels light to wear and it does show up the fakes's lesser material quite badly in this case.

Mali Airness shirt (Fake)

Had been wanting to get an Airness Mali shirt for ages but never been able to find one in stock or the right size.  Tried looking for it in French sites even but no luck on size or stock is well. Cos they just look contemporary cool.

Anyway, this was a fake bought from good old taobao seller for the equivalent of 8 euros.  And its pretty damn good.

The crest is well done.

Now this may be a bit wobbly..

Design copied easily

Its a fab shirt and the material is OK considering the price.  From a distance it looks the don.  Shame that Airness can't make their shirts more readily available on their website so until then this is the best we can get.
