Mexico 13/14 Adidas track top

This is a tracktop that I have been searching around for a while.  Finally, saw one on Ebay and got hold of it.  I actually seen this in quite a few shops way back in when it was originally released back in 2014.  But for various reasons as usual hesitated when it was available to me.  I actually really liked it.

Mainly because it has a real nice retro look about it even for back in 2014.  It also has a colour for El Tri that I really like and has a classic feel to it.  Also the red trim around the collar is spot on.

It also still has the older El Tri crest that I prefer and like.  

And there is no big El Tri print at the back unlike some other releases that are of a similar pedigree and design and colour out there.  This one is just plain and classic in look, no in your face or back of your face print.  Overall, it is just a really great top to wear around.  One weird feature of this sample is that the zip seemed the other way round, i.e it is based on the right, not sure if this sample was a faulty sample because being from the same series as the Sweden 1024 track top that I also have, that does not have this feature.

Mexico Adidas 2018 shirt

A shirt that I quite like from the current crop of adidas designs.  Not my favourite shade of green for El Tri but I wanted to try the new cutting.

Interesting v neck / Jonny collar.  If only they could have added a touch of red trim eg white collar red trim or red collar white trim.

Cool crest.

Here is the interesting part, with the stripes only at the shoulder, they have cut the sleeves shorter and given it a more bicep friendly fit.  Since there is more space now for them to place their patches on the side.  Had they put some red trim at the cuffs, that would have made it classical.

The side lines and chevrons makes the shirt less boring.

Yeah...

Nice material too, I prefer the material to what's used in the current Colombia shirt. The shirt has a nice cutting, the shorter sleeves and cuffs give it a more slim fit look.  Good simple design.  For me, it would have been a classic if they could have addes more of a red trim to the shirt.

Mexico Adidas Copa America Centenario shirt

This was a shirt that I think would have almost been perfect if only it had a bit more red represented.  I think El Tri fans would also agree.  It's back to the classic colours that we will miss so this was a chance for a timeless classic.

As much as its a pretty decent shirt, it really lacks the red.  Now had they done it on the collar with a red and white trim that would have been spot on.  The V neck is nice.  It's well shaped and not too gangly.

Great badge as usual.

The cuffs are nice but again if only there was a red trim on it, that would have been superb.

Somewhat find the white stripe very appropriate although some had suggested they would have looked better red too.

From the back, it's pretty safe and sound.  As I said if only they could have added more red trim this would have been superb and possibly one of the best El Tri shirts ever in my opinion.  But as it stands it average, I still prefer the 11 Copa America shirt.

Mexico Adidas away shirt

A forgotten shirt probably because it was not well liked.  But I actually thought it was a great design.  Nice black, red and gold combination.  It looks smart.

Great crest as usual.

Long short sleeves from adidas.  Usual problem for me.

Nothing unusual from the back.  Just a smart shirt.

Mexico Adidas Techfit shirt

This is the best techfit shirt IMO.  It is just class and this was the best Mexican shirt ever with its simple design.  Shame they have not continue the trend and El Tri won't be in this green again.

The collar is great and such a classic adidas design and we'll balanced.

Love the crest.  

El Tri's motto.  Go...

Narrow long sleeves.  Love the cuffs.

Powerweb feature.  They don't make them anymore like this.

Overall such a classic and my favourite techfit.  A treasure.  It is very tight and snug to wear.  It is somewhat even a bit smaller than other techfit shirts I have seen with the same size.
