Mexico 13/14 Adidas track top

This is a tracktop that I have been searching around for a while.  Finally, saw one on Ebay and got hold of it.  I actually seen this in quite a few shops way back in when it was originally released back in 2014.  But for various reasons as usual hesitated when it was available to me.  I actually really liked it.

Mainly because it has a real nice retro look about it even for back in 2014.  It also has a colour for El Tri that I really like and has a classic feel to it.  Also the red trim around the collar is spot on.

It also still has the older El Tri crest that I prefer and like.  

And there is no big El Tri print at the back unlike some other releases that are of a similar pedigree and design and colour out there.  This one is just plain and classic in look, no in your face or back of your face print.  Overall, it is just a really great top to wear around.  One weird feature of this sample is that the zip seemed the other way round, i.e it is based on the right, not sure if this sample was a faulty sample because being from the same series as the Sweden 1024 track top that I also have, that does not have this feature.

Hungary Adidas Home Shirt 2020

This was a Hungary shirt that I had been interested in getting hold of for sentimental reasons as it may not be so easy to get hold of another Hungary shirt at a discounted price.  I had once a long time ago seen an adidas Hungary shirt circa 2011 on sale at a sportswear sales store, I had hesitated and regretted not taking up on the offer as it would be a rare good looking sample in my collection.  With this shirt being used back in Euro 2020, it was an offer that I did not want to miss again and it is quite a decent looking shirt.

I really like the colours used in the collar.  I think had they also used it in the cuffs, it would be so classic.

The crest is also nice and interesting, I always for some reason think it looks like a gate and a crown.

The crest and the federation's badge balances out the adidas in the middle logo template design.

Now if only this cuff could have been the green white and read combo, it would make it an instant classic.

                           From the back, it is a standard design shirt.  The material is usual adidas standard.

Overall, I am happy to have this to my collection, it may become more valuable in the future.

 

Fenerbahce 14/15 adidas shirt

Got this gem of a shirt from eBay.  Quality seller.

It is a localised Turkish version of the shirt.  The shirt is made in Turkiye.  And I have no other adidas shirt that is made there meaning this is a special and I don't think its a fake as its been sold labelled in fenerium.com.tr which is Fenerbahce's eShop online.

The crest is printed into the shirt.  Cool and I really like the colour combination.

So are the 3 stripes and flags and logo.  Perhaps to cut production costs.  Buts it looks fine to me.

The shirt also sized well and its a cool fit.  

Flamengo Adidas 16 shirt

What a nice Flamengo 16 shirt.  It's like one of these really classic no nonsense designs.

I like the colours as well.

Great crest.

The sleeves are coolly designed.

I find the 3 stripes by the side makes it look better for this than having them on the shoulder.

The back looks great.  Looks really good for a great team.

South Africa Adidas World Cup 10 shirt

Got hold of this old shirt and interesting 10 template that was used for the world cup back then.

Some details on the collar.

The South African crest is pretty unique and distinguished in design.

Quite loose sleeve as expected with adidas.

The shirt been on the shelf for so long that this adidas label came off after 1 wash.

A good blast from the past.

Fake Colombia track top

This was a track top that I think was never officially released but lots of Gogoalshop alikes been selling this design.  And what is it like I wonder.  Actually, the quality is not bad.  It pretty well made.

The material is good although it does feel a bit different to the real tops and the sizing seems OK.  The zip and pockets are OK too.

Only thing that was noticed apart from slightly different material is the badge, its well placed and smooth but the shape of it is not as perfect as usual.  Notice the yellow shades quarter is a bit wobbly and warp.  Anyway, it looks good from a distance and is a fraction of the cost of the real thing.  And they actually throw in a pair of pants in the package.

Mexico Adidas 2018 shirt

A shirt that I quite like from the current crop of adidas designs.  Not my favourite shade of green for El Tri but I wanted to try the new cutting.

Interesting v neck / Jonny collar.  If only they could have added a touch of red trim eg white collar red trim or red collar white trim.

Cool crest.

Here is the interesting part, with the stripes only at the shoulder, they have cut the sleeves shorter and given it a more bicep friendly fit.  Since there is more space now for them to place their patches on the side.  Had they put some red trim at the cuffs, that would have made it classical.

The side lines and chevrons makes the shirt less boring.

Yeah...

Nice material too, I prefer the material to what's used in the current Colombia shirt. The shirt has a nice cutting, the shorter sleeves and cuffs give it a more slim fit look.  Good simple design.  For me, it would have been a classic if they could have addes more of a red trim to the shirt.

Colombia Adidas 2018 shirt

Very 1990 homage kit.  I really like it.

Nice variation to the collar.  And great colours as usual, love the combination.

Fantastic

The sleeves is a bit shorter and these chevrons just give you that Valderrama feel.  Having the availability of XS size gives us a chance of a great snug fit although the original 90s version was worn loose.

The material has changed again with the climate cool template.  And having also seen the Mexico and Japan shirts, there are variations in the range.  Overall a shirt that I will wear a lot in the summer.
