Mali Airness Away shirt

Finally, I am able to get hold of a genuine Airness brand shirt and I am not disappointed.  Airness is a French sports brand and has been the exclusive sponsor of Mali national team's shirt for many years.  This Mali away shirt is very nice and I will tell you why.

Here is the labels and it is a very nice tag with all the letters in French written on it. 

Pretty much an iconic Malian symbol.

The crest is cool.  Only downside is it is not embroided and it is super glued onto the material, a bit like some of the Puma offerings in past and I know these can peel off after a lot of washes, but lets see how it lasts.

The Airness is embroidered, now that is a nice cat.

The fit of the shirt is skinny so very snug sleeves which makes it look good when wearing.

Nice motto.

Nice from the back also.  Overall, very happy with this shirt, well worth the wait.  The material is quite nice too, it feels light to wear and it does show up the fakes's lesser material quite badly in this case.

Mexico 13/14 Adidas track top

This is a tracktop that I have been searching around for a while.  Finally, saw one on Ebay and got hold of it.  I actually seen this in quite a few shops way back in when it was originally released back in 2014.  But for various reasons as usual hesitated when it was available to me.  I actually really liked it.

Mainly because it has a real nice retro look about it even for back in 2014.  It also has a colour for El Tri that I really like and has a classic feel to it.  Also the red trim around the collar is spot on.

It also still has the older El Tri crest that I prefer and like.  

And there is no big El Tri print at the back unlike some other releases that are of a similar pedigree and design and colour out there.  This one is just plain and classic in look, no in your face or back of your face print.  Overall, it is just a really great top to wear around.  One weird feature of this sample is that the zip seemed the other way round, i.e it is based on the right, not sure if this sample was a faulty sample because being from the same series as the Sweden 1024 track top that I also have, that does not have this feature.

Newcastle United Puma Third Shirt 2020

Now this is some Newcastle United third shirt, look at the design.  It could be a goal keeper shirt but its of a dark purple shade.

The shirt has a V shape collar.  I would have preferred it was just a crew neck.

The crest is actually fluorescent green but it looks white when you photo it.  In some ways, its better if it was white and black, perfect colour for the toon.

The pattern is just wow, nice triangles and the shade.

From the back it is actually black.

The nice NUFC at the back.
 

Chile Nike Home Shirt 2018

This was an interesting exercise where I got hold of a ladies XL 2018 Nike Chile Home Shirt hugely reduced and converted it to a small M with the help of a local quick stitch tailor. 

It is otherwise quite a boring Nike 2018 template shirt. Good materials though must admit for this template. Very nice to wear. 

And with the embroidered crest it can last a whole load of washes. 

The sleeve was tailored to about the size of a XS to S - Male size

The one problem after the conversion is that the crest and logo's positions end up being a bit off, ie. They become too far apart. But not that many people will really care.  The logos themselves are actually smaller than what is found in the adult male size small.  They are rather like what is found in the youth sizes. 

Pretty boring from the back. We have tried to squared the curve ladies shape with the conversion. 

Just a star sign at the back. 

 

Hungary Adidas Home Shirt 2020

This was a Hungary shirt that I had been interested in getting hold of for sentimental reasons as it may not be so easy to get hold of another Hungary shirt at a discounted price.  I had once a long time ago seen an adidas Hungary shirt circa 2011 on sale at a sportswear sales store, I had hesitated and regretted not taking up on the offer as it would be a rare good looking sample in my collection.  With this shirt being used back in Euro 2020, it was an offer that I did not want to miss again and it is quite a decent looking shirt.

I really like the colours used in the collar.  I think had they also used it in the cuffs, it would be so classic.

The crest is also nice and interesting, I always for some reason think it looks like a gate and a crown.

The crest and the federation's badge balances out the adidas in the middle logo template design.

Now if only this cuff could have been the green white and read combo, it would make it an instant classic.

                           From the back, it is a standard design shirt.  The material is usual adidas standard.

Overall, I am happy to have this to my collection, it may become more valuable in the future.

 

Santos Umbro Shirt 2021

This is a really nice Santos away shirt again picked up from m and m direct. 

Again the crest and label are embroidered, therefore can take many more washes.

Nice crest. 

Now this shirt has a narrower shoulder and sleeve giving it a closer fit than the Chapecoense shirt. It is somewhat interesting the same manufacturer in this case Umbro can have 3 different size cuts where they are almost a whole size different in shape yet they are all S. This one is the one in the middle while the Chapecoense shirt is largest while the Cruzeiro shirt is the smallest. 

Again this is fantastic material and looks good to wear. 

I guess this print at the back is most likely to fall off after several washes. 

 

Chapecoense Umbro Shirt 2021

This was a very nice Chapecoense Umbro shirt.  Having now seen many Brazilian manufactured shirts, I can conclude that while many of them have great designs, the majority of Brazilian brands have labels and crests because they were not embroider, they don't last as many washes as you would expect before the labels wear out. That is why when the shirts are made by Umbro, Nike or Adidas, they tend to have less of this issue as they tend to use embroider methods.

 

This was a bargain picked up at M and M Direct who seemed to have gotten hold of some of these Brazilian club shirts and they are made in Brazil is well.  This sample had embroider crest and brand logo so it should last longer.

 

The sleeve shape and Umbro patterns are nice, for me the shoulder cut is a bit on the big side. 

 

As usual, the material used by Umbro is very nice to wear. 

 

It is a very fine looking shirt, just a bit too big in the shoulders for me for that nice fit.
